Born in York County, South Carolina to Hiram Alexander and Mary Brown. Leaving York Co she and her family settled first in Butts Co. GA later in Henry Co. GA. She married Lemiah Christopher Columbus Adkins on December 18 1840 in Henry Co. Her first child, Hiram J. was born in 1844 but died sometime after the 1850 census probably in Henry Co. She and her husband belonged to the Beersheba Primitive Baptist Church and those records show that they left the church in the fall of 1852. They ended up in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana where they settled and raised their family. Jincy died around 1862-63 and possibly died in childbirth with her last child, Martha.
