Edward DuBisher, 88, who had lived at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty since September, 1981, formerly of Iowa City, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City after a short illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Uhlmann Funeral Home in Williamsburg, where visitation has begun. Burial will be at Pilot Grove Cemetery, west of Williamsburg. Mr. Dubisher was born Nov. 22, 1894, in Pilot Township, Iowa County, a son of Joseph and Catherine (Smakel) DuBishar. On Jan. 16, 1916, he married Anna Thomas in Williamsburg. They were later divorced. On Sept. 12, 1950, he married Nina Green in Coralville. He attended Pilot Township Grade School. He had moved to the Iowa City area in 1927, and for several years he worked on farms in the area. Later he worked for Maher Transfer in Iowa City until retiring in 1900. In 1977, he and his wife moved to Nichols. He was a member of the Teamsters Union 238 in Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife; one son, Winston DuBisher of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Lucille Mills of Topeka, Kansas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-daughters, Doris Heath of Marion, Eula Han of Lone Tree, and Gerry Hillier of Nichols; and one step-son, Wayne Green of Anchorage, Ala. Two daughters, four brothers, and six sisters died earlier.
