Death of William B. Golden
William B. Golden, age 67, died at his home on Section Route 2, July 9, 1946, after a long illness. He had been a resident of that community some 20 years.
He was a member of Old Sardis Holliness Church for many years. He was a true Christian and a fine citizen of his community.
His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, Mrs. Carrie Keeton Golden, five sons, and four daughters. He also leaves five brothers and one sister and a host of grandchildren and one great grandchild.
His funeral will be held Friday at 2:00pm with Rev. A. B. White, Rev. Jim Goza and Rev. T.C. Thackerson Officiating.

****Grandpa William donated the land where the church and cemetery is at New Canaan and his old home place is right next to the cemetery.
****The graves of his children Annie, Maude and Ransom I cannot find. If you know where they are located could you please contact me and let me know where so I may find them also.
