She was born on December 23, 1921 to Clara and Rudolph Carlsen in Murray, Utah. She married Jay "Howard" Reese on March 7, 1947. Their marriage was solemnized on June 20, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. Her loving "Honey" will be there to welcome her home. Carol was a LPN and volunteered in the Foster Grandparents Program for 20 years. She was proud to take part in something so worthwhile. She was loved by and adored the children she worked with. She devoted many years of her life to helping others.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Helen (Theral) Smith; son, Daniel (Mary) Reese; sister, Louise (Don) Green; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 25th at 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Mortuary and one hour prior to services.
Interment will follow the services at the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
