Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife: Mindy Pierce, of the home; a daughter: Haley Pierce of Lavaca; his sons: Kyle and Kolby Pierce, and Tyler Elkins, all of Lavaca, Arkansas; his parents: Susan Newlon Travis of Spiro, Oklahoma and Melvin and Christine Pierce, of Charleston, Arkansas; his sister: Rebekah White, of Lavaca, Arkansas; his brothers: Bobby Cain, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Justin Cornell, of Alma, Arkansas, Tim Cummings, of Lavaca, Arkansas and Robert Cummings, of Charleston, Arkansas; his paternal grandfather: Melvin Pierce Sr, of Central City, Arkansas; his maternal grandmother: Odessa Frye, also of Central City, Arkansas.
Funeral service was held on Monday, August 25, 2008, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow.
Pallbearers were: Jessy Finch, Brandon Solley, Ken Combs, Robert Cummings, Richard Newton, adn Travis Trotter.
