BRIDGEWATER - Arvilla K. Cook, 93, wife of the late Glen W Cook, died Sept. 1, 1999, at the Mars Hill health care facility. She was born in Bridgewater, May 2, 1906, the daughter of Robert and Sadie (Huntington) Kingsbury.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of Mars Hill and the United Methodist Women's Club. She was a membe of the former Friendship Chapter No. 140 O.E.S. of Mars Hill and Lunar Chapter No. 126 O.E.S. of Presque Isle. She was a member of Bridgewater Extension and the Hospital Auxiliary of the Aroostook Health Center. Mrs. Cook was a former Cub Scout Den Mother.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Robert F. and Florence Cook of Bridgewater; two grandchildren, Janice Footer and her husband, John, Joel Cook and his wife, Louann, all of Mars Hill; four very special great-grandsons, Ryan and Joshua Cook, Jack and Nicholas Footer; a brother, Allen Kingsbury of E. Plantation; five nieces, Ginny Smith of Vacaville, Calif., Rita Kingsbury of Key West, Fla., Julie Chihizonskis of Purcellville, Va., Florence Zettergren of Presque Isle and Donna Jones of Connecticut; four nephews, Dennis Kingsbury, Keith Kingsbury, Larry kingsbury, all of Bridgewater and Scott Kingsbury of E. Plantation; a brother-in-law, Thomas Cook of Bridgewater.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday athe the funeral home, with Pastor Clayton Coffin officiating. Interment will be in Corner Cemetery, Bridgewater.
