Services for Wilma Ormsby, age 92 of Rockdale will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with the Rev. Howard Schutt and Rev. Earl Presley officiating. Visitation, 5PM to 7PM Friday, August 22, 2008 at the funeral home.
Wilma was born December 21, 1915 in Rosebud, to Robert Lee and Lula Carolin (Westbrook) McCollum. She and Fred G. Ormsby were married August 10, 1940 in Bryan. They have lived in Rockdale since 1954. She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church in Rockdale.
Wilma passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in the Scott & White Hospital in Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1983. Her parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are: Her son, Harry Lee Ormsby and wife Cathy of Rockdale. Three grandchildren, Cara Boynton, Jeffrey Ormsby and Celeste Williams. Four great grandchildren, Megan Elliott, Chelsea Elliott, Shelby Ormsby and Jude Williams.
Pallbearers, David Stanley, Rudy Martinez, John Fischer, A.J. McCollum, Fred McCollum and Robert Swanzy.
