Drema Kaye Whorley, age 41 died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Golden Living Center. She was born December 27, 1966 in Henry County, Virginia to Dewey Whorley and the late Marie Turner Whorley. Drema had been a volunteer for the Bassett Rescue Squad for several years. She was a very giving and caring person who wanted to help others. Beside her father, she is survived by a sister, Susan Biege of Martinsville.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at the South Chapel of Bassett Funeral Service or at other times at the home of her father, 40 Flamingo Road, Bassett. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00pm in the South Chapel of Bassett Funeral Service with Rev. James Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
