Daughter of George and Ann Mack. Lorraine held many types of jobs during her life. She served in the Army as a ballistic specialist during the Cuban Missle Crisis. She owned a tavern in downtown Seattle, was a mechanical engineer for Boeing, repaired watches, a photographer's assistant, auto mechanic, pharmacist technician, King County Police Officer, gunsmith and gun dealer. Before retiring, Lorraine served her fellow veterans for 15 years as a nurse at the Seattle Veteran's Center. An active member of the Rainier Combat Rifle Club, she competed internationally and qualified for the U.S. Olympic Rifle Team.
Lorraine loved her family, her cat Dinah, her cars, collecting and shooting guns, her work with veterans and her many friends who will miss her more than she could ever know. She is survived by her sister Barbara Batdorf (Robert); nephew, John, and niece, Anne. Graveside services were held June 8, 2006 at Sunnyside Cemetery.
