Robert's Obituary

Robert (Bob) Wendall Wiedmann, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather passed away at the age of 93 on January 17, 2021 in Denison, Iowa. Bob was born in Patterson, Iowa on December 24, 1927.

Bob was a skilled carpenter, who’s craft led him to be a respected and sought-out contractor. A passion for sports was evidenced by his devotion to the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed fishing and dancing. He was proud to tell everyone he graduated in the top 10 of his class of 10. Bob’s claim to fame came when he was the big winner on the Price is Right.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Berniece Lawler; father, Frances Wiedmann; second wife, Betty; step-sons Jerry and Ron; and son-in-law, Jeff.

He is survived by his wife, Marlyn; daughters, Diana Brown and Susan (Jim) O’Brien; step-sons, Dick (Karen) Mathews and Steve (Lillian) Mathews; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or Eventide Lutheran Home Foundation in Denison, Iowa.
A graveside service will take place at the I. O. O. F. Cemetery on February 6, 2020 at 11 a.m.
