Age 82, died at 8:50 a.m. Monday, July 20, 1987 following a seven month illness.
She was born January 31, 1905 in Freedom and was a lifelong resident of Appleton, where she was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons: Gerald, Omaha, Nebraska; Eugene, Mequon; Kenneth, with whom she shared her home; three sisters: Mrs. William (Mayme) Dries, West Allis; Mrs. Walter (Florence) Vollmer, Hilbert; Mrs. William (Nell) Schaefer, Kaukauna; eight grandchildren, two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962, her son, Donald in 1980, and also by three sisters: Elizabeth Fischer, Agnes Luebke, Peggy Wagner.
Complete funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 1987 from St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State St. with Father Dick Mauthe, who was a nephew of Mrs. Sawall and from the Newman Center, Green Bay and Father Michael O'Rourke officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The prayer and scripture service will be 7 o'clock Wednesday evening.
