George Washington Hanks, Sr. (b. 1813 SC - d. Yalobusha County, MS) was the son of Thomas Hanks and Mahalia Petty. Ann Selena Williams (b.1815 AL - d. Yalobusha County, MS) was the daughter of Moses Williams and Polly Carroll.
James W. Harris, 29th Mississippi Inf, CSA, is listed in the book of Mississippi Confederate Grave Registration, Vol A-L, by Betty Couch Wiltshire. Dates of service are unknown. According to my mother, Mildred Madge Youngblood Moore, he was captured somewhere during the War of Northern Aggression and sent to a POW camp in Illinois. There he made coffins for the Union Army. He was a carpenter before and after The War.
