Killed by Train
MRS. S. J. LOCHRAN was killed by a train while she and a child were walking along the track not being aware that a train was bearing down on them. The cowcatcher threw her up on the pilot of the engine. The train stopped and placed her in the baggage car, taking her to the depot where DR. LEWIS was summoned but too late. She lived northwest of town about 2 miles where the accident occurred on the culvert near the lakes. She was laid to rest in the local cemetery Sunday. She was 65 years old and is survived by six children, MRS. MAAGIE RIDDLE of Duncan, EMMA BROWN, EULA LEMONS, MINNIE ROBERTS, CHARLES LOCHRAN, and JOHN LOCHRAN of Ryan.
