United States Congressman. He served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and served as a major general in the Pennsylvania State militia. He was a Democratic-Republican Congressman from Pennsylvania, serving one term, from 1817 to 1819. His son and grandson, Charles Ogle and Andrew Jackson Ogle, were also Congressmen.
