Glen A. Hedger, 68, of Route 8 died at 3:10 a.m. today at Bartholomew County Hospital. He had been in failing health six years, He was a retired contractor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Reed and Jewell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Persons may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday.
A lifetime resident of Bartholomew County, Hedger was born September 23, 1908, to Joseph and Rosa Fox Hedger. In 1926, he married the former Nellie Millholland, who died in November 1954.
Survivors include a son, Robert Hedger of Route 8; a brother, Ray Hedger of Elizabethtown route 1; three sisters, Opal Phillips of Lawon, Okla., Maude Coleman of Indianapolis and Jeanette Lucas of Columbus; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Earl Hedger; and a half brother, William Greenley.

Pallbearers were Larry Coleman, Marion Fox, Garnet Bryant, Sherman Lucas, Woodrow Davis and Roger Turner.
