Fred Henry Ramge was born on June 19, 1883 to Alice Elizabeth (Oliver) Ramge and Frederick Thomas Ramge. He died on Wednesday afternoon at Memorial hospital, June 12, 1957. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. the following Saturday and under the direction of Schraders. Rev. Dale Olson officiated.
Fred was a native of Plattsmouth Nebraska. He graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1901. Fred worked for the Burlington and Union Pacific Railroads for 51 years as a boilermaker before his retirement and then resided in Cheyenne, WY for 14 years previous to his death. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Boilermaker local No. 46.
Fred was married four times. After a divorce from his first wife Ollie Sherriad, he married Lula Holderness and had four children. After Lula's death in 1914, he married Elenor Baker Hill and had two more children. That marriage ended in divorce and he then married Helen M. Hubleman.
