Widow of Haywood Cherry, Jr., she was was a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Windsor, NC. She was survived by one daughter, Mary Cherry Miller; two grandchildren; two sisters, Bettie Sue Mizelle and Dolly Perry; and one brother, Kenneth Butler. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elaine Davis Hoggard, and one sister, Virginia Todd. Her graveside service was held August 13, 2008, with The Rev. Jim Cox officiating.
