Evan Michael Murphy, 60, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at his home in Elberta. Murphy was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Metz of Moulton; two daughters, Michaela Murphy and Patricia Murphy, both of Austin, Texas; a son, Evan P. Murphy of New York; and three sisters, Joyce Dvito of Charlotte, N.C., Hazel Morrison of Moulton and Mary Glover of Houston.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
Arrangements are by Cason Funeral Service in Foley.
