She was born April 26, 1920 in Cherokee, KS the daughter of Vincenzo James and Maria (Marello) Grano. She was a lifetime resident of the Southeast Kansas area and attended schools in Cherokee and Girard.
Angie married Joseph D. Ciardullo on July 4th 1946 in Arma, KS; he preceded her in death on April 13, 1990.
During WWII Angie worked for the Parsons Ammunition Plant and also cooked for St. Mary's Rectory from 1975 through 1986. She was also a homemaker.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the St. Mary's Altar Society, Tuesday Rosary Group, St. Paul's Widow and Widowers Group, an avid bowler for over 40 years and was in the local bowlers hall of fame; an AARP member and travel planner for 15 years; Wednesday Pinochle Club, Tuesday Duplicate Bridge Club the Chicopee Foundation Card Club, Thursday Senior Citizens Group Card Club and an avid gardener.
Survivors include a son Jim Ciardullo and wife Janet of St. Louis; 2 daughters Mary Ann Forsythe and husband Michael of Frontenac, Patti Gorentz and husband Buddy of Pittsburg; a sister Josephine Arabia of Chicago, IL; 5 Grandchildren Carrie Furnas, Kimberly Buenger, Cynthia Keisker, Megan Hague, Garrett Forsythe and 3 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters Rose Presta, Melia Murrill and 2 brothers Frank and Russell Grano.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday August 21st at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg with Father Thomas Stroot as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday August 20th at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg where the family will receive friends following the rosary until 8 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home after noon on Wednesday.
