ANDERSEN, In Monroe Sevier County, Utah, December 31, 1884, Andrew Andersen, known in Denmark as Andrew Jensen Nyemark; born April 24, 1812, in Hwisted Tarrs Sogn, Denmark; embraced the gospel in his native land December 15, 1853; immigrated to Utah in 1859; lived in Spring City until 1865, then volunteered to go on to the Muddy mission, where he stayed until recalled, at the time it was broken up. He removed to Monroe in 1871. He was a member of the High Priest Quorum for twenty years, and diligent in the discharge of his duties. He was the father of sixteen children, nine whom are living, forty-eight grand-children and twelve great grand-children.
