Katharine Sophia Baus was the daughter of John George Baus and Philipina Hessert.

She married John Henry Frederick on 13 May 1880 in Lorain Co., OH. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Jacob Vontobel.

Katharine died at her home in Amherst, OH and was buried 29 Apr 1940.
