Joanne Marie Volcansek( nee ) Bechtel - Suddenly, at her Kitchener residence, on Saturday, August 16, 2008, 37 years of age. Joanne was Andy Volcansek's loving wife for 18 years, but they were together for 22 years. Loving mother to her two special boys, Ryan and Jason Volcansek. Dear daughter of Dick and Theresa Bechtel of Waterloo. Daughter-in-law of Elsa Volcansek of Kitchener. Sister to Cheryl MacTavish and her husband Don of Waterloo, Kimberley Droog and her husband Shane of Waterloo. Granddaughter to Blanche Hergott and Doris Bechtel. Sister-in-law to Lydia Reekie and her husband Geoff of Parry Sound. Special aunt to Sara MacTavish and Cameron and Nathan Droog, Natalie, Marinna, Brigitte, and Kyle Reekie. Predeceased by her father-in-law, Alois Volcansek; her grandfathers, Albin Hergott and Clarence Bechtel. Joanne will be missed by many aunts, uncles, relatives and her many friends. Joanne was a devoted wife to Andy and a dedicated loving mother to her two boys. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street S., Kitchener (at Westmount Rd.) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6:30-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered 8 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by a tribute service. Prayers will be recited Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10 a.m., transfer will then be made to St. Michael's RC Church, University Ave., Waterloo for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery.
