Graveside service for Edna Madge "Mema" Hash, 97, Synder, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Rogers Cemetery, southwest of Snyder under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Snyder.

Edna Madge Hash passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at a nursing home in Snyder.

Mrs. Hash was born Nov. 7, 1919, in Snyder to Pryor Bert and Grace Florence Adams. She was raised in Snyder and graduated from Snyder High School in 1937. In 1940, she moved to California where she was a grocery checker for many years. She was a member of the Ventura, Calif., First Baptist Church. In 1974, she returned to Snyder to help take care of her mother who was in ill health.

In 1976, she married Paul F. Hash in Vernon. He passed away in 1997. She and Paul made their home in Mountain Park and enjoyed traveling together and gardening. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Snyder.

Survivors include her two children: daughter, Darlene Hill, of Dallas and son, James W. Parsons Jr., of Texas; five grandchildren: Karin Calkins and Craig Pratt of Mountain Park; Pamala Copeland and David Mar of Dallas; Robyn Wilson and Frederick of Austin; James W. Parsons III of Ventura, Calif; and Michael Parsons of Ventura; nine great-grandchildren: Tucker Smith and Crystal of Oklahoma City; Conner Steward of Mountain Park; Zachary Copeland of Lawton; Journey Copeland and Codie Philpott of Lawton; Hannah Copeland of Dallas; Bella Wilson of Austin; Kiersten Wilson of Austin; Joey Parsons of Austin; Evan Parsons of Austin; and her great-grandson, Braxton James Philpott.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; granddaughter, Candice Calkins; son-in-law, Donald Calkins; three brothers: Leonard Adams, Roy "Shorty" Adams and Ray; and her sister, Bessie Dillingham.

The family will greet friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at the funeral home.
