Joan Marie (Cumbie) Pittman, age 61, of Milton, passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 following a brief illness. Mrs. Pittman was born August 4, 1947 in Century, FL. She lived all her life in Milton, FL. She is preceded in death by her father, Seth T. Cumbie, Sr.; her mother, Ella Mae (Smith) Overbeck; her husband, Charles Anthony Pittman; and great-grandson, Landon Helms.
Mrs. Pittman is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Dink) Helms and Becky (Mick) McCallister, all of Milton; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica and Jenise Helms, Dixie (Stevie) Bonds and Camrin Bass; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Gracie, Kaleb and Kaitlyn; seven siblings, Wayne (Angie) Blocker, Sue (Jim) Finch, Thomas Cumbie, Inez (Lamon) McGowan, David (Glenda) Cumbie, Margaret Scott and Butch Cumbie; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pittman will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with Bro. Greg Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Crain Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Monday, August 18, 2008 at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
