Phillip Gene, 53, of Midwest City, formerly of Tulsa, OkIa., passed away September 5, 1999. He was born August 21, 1946, in Tulsa, Okla. to Charles Emery & Nellie Alzada (Keffer) Greene. Phillip served 3 years in the U.S. Army, two of those years (1966-1968) in the Vietnam War, where he received the Purple Heart. He later entered the 95th Division Army Reserves 3rd Battalion 378th Regiment 2nd Brigade (BCT), which he retired from on August 9, 1995, after 20 years of service as a Sergeant FirstClass. For the past 25 years Phillip worked at Dayton Tire & Rubber Co. and was a member of the United Rubber Workers Union. Phillip married Delores Wade October 13, 1972 in Midwest City, Okla. Phillip is survived by his wife Delores, of the home; 2daughters, Captola Lynn & Cheryl Revay Greene, also of the home; 1 brother, Jimmy Wayne Greene & wife Janet of Owasso, Okla.; nieces, nephews, family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be Wednesday, September 8, 1999 at 11:00 A.M., at the Bill Eisenhour NE Chapel with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
