US Congressman. An 1807 of Princeton College, he studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1813, and commenced practice in Danville, Pennsylvania. Elected as a Jacksonian Democrat to Congress from Pennsylvanua, he served one term, from 1829 to 1831. He did not run for renomination and retired to his farm near Milton.
