Maylon Wayne Bosworth was born on April 22, 1897 or 1896 in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. He was the son of Albert C and Hanna Lavinia "Vinnie" Guptill Bosworth. According to his WWI draft notice, he was born in 1896; his WWII draft notice, he listed his year of birth as 1897.

He married Lillie Corbey on December 2, 1914, in Vigo County, Indiana.

M. Wayne Bosworth, 2338 Washington Ave., Terre Haute, age 67, died at Saint Anthony's Hospital on April 13, at 10:55 a.m. Mr. Bosworth was a carpenter in the Terre Haute area. He was a member of the Carpenter's Local #133. He was also a member of the Terre Haute Masonic Lodge #19. Services were held at the Gillis Memory Chapel on April 15 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Albert Mitchell officiating. Graveside services were by the Terre Haute Masonic Lodge #19. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Survivors were three sons, Gilbert and Albert of Terre Haute, Wayne of Grand Rapids, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Lottie Mae Archer of Terre Haute, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Mary B. Peters of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
