Gerthie Faye Mack, was born on Sunday, July 28, 1929, daughter of the late Ruben and Myrtle Wilbanks Armstrong. Mrs. Mack died Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 79 years 0 Months and 11 days. She was born in Walnut, Miss., and had lived in Trumann since 1965 and was formerly of Marked Tree. She was a housewife and of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Mack was preceded in death by her husband, George Warren Mack in 1975, one daughter, Debbie McCrary, one grandson, Arlen Dale (Junior) Campbell, one great-granddaughter, Madison Crawford; two sisters, five brothers and her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Campbell and Georgia Cook both of Trumann, Cynthia Mack of Robinsonville, Miss., one God-daughter, Cherri Roseles of Robinsonville, Miss.; one son, John Wayne Armstrong, Sr., of Trumann; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Full Gospel Tabernacle near Trumann with Sister Shelby Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at the Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Ark., with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
