Marie, age 89 of OKC, passed away September 24, 2004. She was born October 1, 1914 in Duke, OK to Jesse and Nettie (Hall) Ballard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Royce Walker; 3 brothers, Monroe, Quint Lee and Curtis Ballard. She is survived by a son, Elward Royce Walker, Jr. of Warr Acres; a daughter, Lynnette Thacker and husband Eddie of Mustang; 3 grandchildren, Mark and Gary Walker, both of Warr Acres, and Carol Winterland and husband Bill of Yukon; 2 great grandchildren, Chris Thacker and wife Amber of Mustang, and Kayla Winterland of Yukon; 1 great great grandson, Joseph Thacker of Mustang; a brother, J D Ballard and wife Maurine of Duke; 3 sisters, Lela Mae Martin of Houston, TX, Mary Emma Meadville and Lucille Sumrow, both of Duke; nieces, nephews and many other loved ones. Services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 28 at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
