Funeral services for Dixie Lee Allen Rogers will be held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Reverend Donnie Vercher, pastor of the Ford Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, January 17, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Dixie Lee was born August 15, 1937, and passed away on January 14, 2006. She attended Fair Park High School and graduated from C.E. Byrd High School. She later received her B.S. degree from Northwestern State College of Louisiana and worked many years as a Louisiana practical nurse. Dixie lived her life to the fullest and accepted her fate.

Preceding Mrs. Rogers in death were her parents, Richard Stanton Moseley and Elba Arnold Moseley Turner; sons, Jesse Harvey Allen, II and Jesse Harvey Allen, III.

Surviving her is one son, John Robert Allen and wife, Sheri; daughters, Pamela Ann Allen and Beverly Susan Allen; sisters, Betty Pauline Ransburg and husband, Marshall and Peggy Jean Murphy and husband Edward, "Speck"; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey, Darrell and Edward Murphy, John Allen, Tony Lewis and son, Tony Lewis.
