Deceased Name: CHATHAM - Etta (Eldredge) Long
81, a resident Of Chatham, died yesterday at the Windsor Skilled Nursing And Rehabilitation Center In South Yarmouth following a brief illness.

She was the wife Of Albert N. Long who died In 1967.

Mrs. Long was born And raised In Orleans And was a graduate Of Orleans High School And LaSalle Junior College.

She was an accomplished seamstress who also owned And operated Etta's Yarn Shop In Chatham for many years. She enjoyed knitting And spending time with her children And her dogs.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Dowdy Of Danville, Va.; two sons, A. Nelson Long Jr. Of Chatham And Wayne W. Long Of Southboro; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; And several nieces And nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday In the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Burial will be private.
