Salli is Sarah Goodwin Kirk, b. 14 May 1825 in AL, m. 2 Dec 1841 to John William Mullins in AL. He was the son of Thomas Mullins and Charity Couch. Per the Kirk family Bible, she was the daughter of James Myrick Kirk and Terry Sugg. At one time, this Bible was in the possession of Mary Wallace Kirk of Tuscumbia, AL who is now deceased. Per "Souvenir of Texas Biographical Sketches," Sallie Mullens was a daughter of J.M. Kirk, of Franklin County, Alabama, a respectable, well-to-do farmer. Per one of her descendants, 'Mrs. S.G. Mullens,' was buried in the Caney Cemetery, Caney, Atoka Co. OK in 1906.
