She married Eugene Power February 14, 1883 and they remained residents of St. Lawrence county. Four children were born to them - Jessie Ballou, Jay Wiliiam, Calvin Harlie and Sarah Jeanette. Eugene died of consumption (tuberculosis) in 1901.
Her second husband was Allen E. Harris, married at Raymondville about 1904. The family, except daughter Jessie who had married, moved west to California.
She died as Lura Allen in an accident and her remains were brought to New York for burial with her first husband∼Aged 50 years 7 months 8 days.
