Thomas McQuarters, 54, of Halls died Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Baptist Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley.
He was a self-employed truck driver who served as a former member of the National Guard Dyersburg Unit No 269 and was a member of the Dyersburg Police force from 1987 to 1995.
Services will be held today at 3 PM in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hurricane Hills Cemetery in Newbern. The Rev. Waymon Hogue will officiate.
Visitation will take place today beginning at 1 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his spouse, Stephanie McQuarters of Halls; three daughters, Courtney Erickson of Halls, Whitney Erickson of Halls and Tammy Reeves and husband, Adam, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Mary Rose McQuarters of Dyersburg and Kathy Ray and husband, Lynn, of Dyersburg; a brother; Pee Wee McQuarters and wife, Barbara, of Dyersburg; and four grandchildren, Coley Campbell of Newbern, Devan Reeves of Dyersburg, Kaitlynn Reeves of Troy and Michael Reeves of Troy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Lucille (LeDuke) McQuarters and Claudie McQuarters.
Pallbearers will include Jim Gray, Ricky Tidwell, Monte Essary, Monty McWilliams, Justin Harris and Robert Pickens.
Honorary pallbearers include Jeff Reece and Justin McQuarters
