Winnie, 88, of OKC, passed away October 29, 1995. She was born in Little Axe, Ok. and grew up in McClain County. Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Iona Bailey; husband of 42 years, Lynn Spencer; brother and sisters. She retired from nursing at Hillcrest Hospital, was honored as TOPS Queen for Oklahoma in 1976, and recognized for her talents in music and short stories. Winnie is survived by children, June Ruppert of OKC, Ruth Melendez of Piedmont, Donald Spencer of OKC, Joyce Noelle of Atlanta, Ga., Vernon Spencer and Clarice Huddleston of Seminole, Ok.; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and many loving friends.
