Adolph Kudrna, 84, South Heart, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, South Heart, with the Rev. Shannon Lucht celebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, South Heart.

Adolph Kudrna was born April 24, 1919, to Frank and Philomena (Pavlicek) Kudrna. He grew up and attended school at South Heart. On April 2, 1940, he married Margaret Praus at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dickinson. In 1945, they moved to their farm five miles south of South Heart, where together they raised five children.

Adolph traveled south, custom combining for 15 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eagles, and Elks. He enjoyed visiting with friends, playing cards, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Adolph is survived by: five children, Shirley (Bob) Loritz, Las Vegas, Nev., Virginia (Skip) Nelson, Las Vegas, Nev., Gerri (Marv) Huschka, Bismarck, Ken (Noreen) Kudrna, Dickinson and Marilyn (Duane) Steffan, Dickinson; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
