Funeral for Dora Caudill Brock, 81, of Decatur will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Mark Tolbert and the Rev. Bill Simrell officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brock died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born June 20, 1920, in Hayden to Stephen Emory Caudill and Dora Armstrong Caudill. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, and she worked for 24 years as an insurance clerk for doctors at Parkway Medical Center.
Survivors include: her husband, the Rev. Pat Brock; one son, Stephen R. Allen of Decatur; one daughter, Patsy Peebles of Decatur; three stepsons, John Brock of Weirton, W. Va., Barry Brock of Decatur and Phil Brock of Portland, Ore.; one stepdaughter, Rebecca Shoaf of Sun River, Ore.; two brothers, Jimmy Caudill of San Antonio and Stephen Emory "Red" Caudill of Decatur; two sisters, Lucille Dumas of Florence and Mary Mitchell of Hartselle; four grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Peebles, Charlie Duke, Herman Marks, Bob Rodgers, Frank Little and Rick Walter.
Memorials may be made to the Elevator Fund at Central Baptist Church or Sav-A-Life.
