Robert J. Sprankle, 52, 1716 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Lot No. 18, Altoona, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Bon Secours-Holy Family Hospital.
He was born May 6, 1949, in Altoona, a son of the late Ed and Betty (Peck) Sprankle. He married Dreama Adams March 13, 1978, in Altoona.
Mr. Sprankle enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters: Amy Burkhammer, Tracy Sprankle and Christina Sprankle, all of Altoona; three sons: Robert Jr. and Bobby, both of Altoona, and Carl Lee of Indiana, Pa.; 15 grandchidren; two sisters: Betty Dick of Roaring Spring and Shirley Weaver of Altoona; and three brothers: Lloyd Peck, Bill Sprankle and Dean Sprankle, all of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Sprankle, formerly of South Carolina.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 3, 2002, at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
