G. Harry Givler, sixty-five, died of a cerebral hemorrhage, at 12:30 p.m. Friday at his home. Mr. Givler was a cement contractor and a son of the late John C. and Fianna Miller Givler. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amanda Wise Givler; the following children, Clarence B. and Arthur K., both of Ephrata; Ralph B., Ephrata R2; Helen, wife of Fred Stewart, Ephrata; a foster daughter, Geraldine, wife of Clarence Wise, Murrel; a step daughter, Helen Wise, wife of Ira Brown, Ephrata R2; two step-sons, Paul L. Wise, Ephrata, and three brothers, Samuel, Lincoln; William, Wagontown, Chester County, and John C., West of the West Coast. Twelve grandchildren also survive. (Intelligencer Journal - Dec 5, 1942)
