She was born to Jesse P. and Jessie Done Bassett on February 6, 1927 in Salt Lake City. She graduated from East High in 1945.
Colleen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank, her three children, Mike (Laurie) Roberts, Randy (Barbara) Mark, Scott Mark, 16 grandchildren and ten 1/2 great-grandchildren. Colleen leaves behind her much loved sister, Sharon Nytch and brother, Keith (Millie) Bassett and many close friends and loved ones. Her two brothers, Arland and Kent, preceded her in death. Colleen opened her heart and home to everyone. No one arrived without being offered food, comfort and assistance. She loved her garden, a good argument, astrology, and cooking.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, followed by interment.
