Deceased Name: WILLIAM VAN HOUTEN, 78, HONEY BROOK, CREAMERY WORKER William F. Van Houten, 78, of Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, formerly of Walnut Street, Honey Brook, died Monday at Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, after a lengthy illness. He was married to Dorothy Johnson Van Houten, who died in 1981. Born in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late William and Maude Margerum Van Houten. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 during World War II. He had worked at the Honey Brook Creamery for many years until it closed, and then at Honey Brook Elementary School. Van Houten was a member of Wawassan Post 422, American Legion, Honey Brook. Surviving is a brother, John M. of Fallstown Township, Bucks County.
