Mrs. Anderson was unit secretary in the emergency room at St. Mary's Hospital for 28 years, retiring in 1996. She was born the daughter of John and Lillian Markowski Gawronski. Her husband, Duane F. Anderson, whom she married Sept. 2, 1951, at St. Stanislaus Church, died Aug. 16, 2001. She was a member of St. Teresa Church, where she was a member of the CCW and the Prayer Show Ministry, which she started. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting. Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Sherry Anderson of Bradley, Jim and Andi Anderson, Robert and Amy Anderson, all of Kankakee, Tim and Kathy Anderson of Donovan; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Colehower of Peotone; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, David Jones of Kankakee; and a special friend, Jerry Morgan of Kankakee. Deceased are one grandson, Daniel Anderson; her stepfather, Urban Boudreau; and one sister, Rose Marie Jones.
