The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Caudill-King Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
He was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Coles County, the son of Grover and Elizabeth Henry Halsey.
He married Viola Toland on Nov. 1, 1933, in Charleston; she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Paul S. Halsey, Jr., of Fortuna, Mo., and Jerry L. Halsey of Charleston; a daughter, Mrs. George (Linda Sue) Wiley of Spencer, Ind.; a brother, Buford Halsey of Redmon; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Mr. Halsey was a farmer and a member of the Coles County Farm Bureau and Round-Up Club. He was also a member of the Hutton Masonic Lodge No. 698 and the Charleston First Christian Church.
