Brandee "Brambo" Denise Blackburn, 28 years old, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008, surrounded by her family. Brandee was born Dec. 14, 1979, in Las Vegas, and lived her whole life here. She attended Greenspun Jr. High and Green Valley High School. Brandee loved her family and friends unconditionally and had a heart of gold. She just recently bought a new truck and boat and was very excited to share it with everyone. She had a love for the outdoors and animals and always loved fishing! She was a very up beat and strong girl and just recently survived Hodgkin's Disease. Her beauty, bright smile and love for everyone will be truly missed but never forgotten. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Linda Levy of Henderson, and Bryant E. Blackburn Jr. of Missoula, Mont.; sisters, Tia Blackburn and Tara Levy; and niece Kelsey Blackburn, all of Henderson; fiancé Jeff Richey; and stepson, Tyler Richey; along with her beloved cats, Katie and Bobbie, all of Henderson; grandmothers, Cletheline Emerich and Helen Levy of Las Vegas; grandparents, Frank and Barbara Bowman of Tracy, Calif.; uncle Terry and aunt Laura Cupp; cousins, Janet and Stephen Cupp of Las Vegas; great-grandmother, Cora Lee Lambert of Lebanon, Tenn.; and many great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brandee was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Warner E. Cupp and Richard "Dick" Levy. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 26. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Because of her deep love for animals, we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Nevada SPCA, 4800 W. Dewey Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89118 or 873-7722 in memory of our beloved daughter, Brandee Denise Blackburn.
