Karen Pugh, 65, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Taylor House Hospice.

Karen was born in Dexter, IA. to Howard and Veda Sackett.

Karen was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She loved to socialize and esp
ecially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Shis is survived by her children, Kirk Sackett, Kim (Jim) Cline, Kelli (Ben) Saluri, Kent (Ann) Pugh and Korby Pugh; eleven grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Luene Westrum, Joann Sackett and Larae Berry and brother, Virgil Sackett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Pugh; son, Kale Pugh and siblings, Shirley Fulton, Vesper Sackett, Lorraine Fry, Wanda Hild, Jay Sackett and Margaret Strong.

Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, August 18, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3399 Easton Blvd., Des Moines, IA; burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery on Merle Hay Rd in Des Moines, IA.

Family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. vigil service on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Karen.
