Wilmington, April 27, - East Carolina was saddened yesterday in announcement of the death of J.T. Foy, which occurred suddenly at his home in Scott's Hill, Pender County, at 9 o'clock in the morning. Mr. Foy was taken violently ill at 8 o'clock and lived but an hour. He was in the 72nd year of his life and is survived by a wife, who was Miss Nora Dozier, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. T.J. Dozier, of Britton's Neck, S.C., and three brothers, two of whom live at Scott's Hill and the other at Winston-Salem. The deceased had been active in Pender County politics for the past 25 years, during which time he had represented Pender three times in the house of representatives and Penderand Duplin in the state senate. He was chairman of the board of commissioners of Pender County for 12 years, a trustee in the Methodist Church of that town and a director in the People's bank of this city. Mr Foy was a prosperous farmer.
