Mrs. Ona Coffey age 78, of Mt.Vernon died Wednesday August 13, 2008 at her home.
She was born on March 22, 1930 in Rockcastle County at Green Hill, the daughter of the
late James Whitley and Lou Lena Rimmell Smith. She was a retired teacher, enjoyed
reading, and being out on her farm, and was a member of the Roundstone Baptist Church.
Survivors are: one son; Thomas Walker Coffey and wife Kathy of Mt.Vernon.
Two grandchildren; Amber Camille Coffey, and Thomas Lloyd Coffey both of
Mt.Vernon. She was preceded in death by: her husband; Thomas O. Coffey, and by two
brothers; Herbert W. Smith, and James O. Smith.
