A BIOGRAPHY OF EDGAR ALLAN BARRY, by Laurence Overmire, Nov. 2018:

Edgar Allan Barry was born Mar. 10, 1873 in Whitneyville, Washington Co., Maine, the son of William Palmer and Henrietta (Dorman) Barry. He applied for membership in the Sons of the American Revolution. He was descended from Capt. Stephen Smith, as well as Jonathan Berry who was a private in Capt. Smith's company.

He married Nellie Hare, the daughter of Frank M. and Emma (Overmire) Hare about 1901. They had two children, Katherine and Elizabeth, and resided in Minneapolis.

Edgar worked as an accountant for a milling company in 1910, as City Credit Manager for Washburn Crosby Co. in 1918, and as a shipping clerk for a flour company in 1920. He was of medium height and build with brown eyes and black hair.

Edgar died Feb. 25, 1929, in Minneapolis at the age of 56, and was buried in Lakewood Cemetery.
