Former Anchorage resident Brandy Adel Hill, 18, died Jan. 27, 2000, in Salt Lake City as a result of an automobile accident. A service was held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Anchorage. The Rev. Jay Olson Ketchum officiated.

Ms. Hill was born June 3, 1981, in Anchorage. She received her GED in August 1999. She left Alaska in January. Ms. Hill was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. She also was a former Rainbow Girl and Girl Scout. She enjoyed collecting chains and clowns. Her family said: ''We will miss her laughter and smile.''

Ms. Hill is survived by her mother, Diane Marquiss; grandparents, Grace and Frank Marquiss; brother and sisters, Maria, Brian and Crystal Hill, all of Anchorage; grandparents, Shirley and Bob Hill of North Carolina; uncles and aunts, Richard and Barb Marquiss, Dave and Kathy Marquiss, and Dean and Shella Marquiss; many cousins in Anchorage and North Carolina; and father, Bobby Hill of Anchorage. Burial was held at Angelus Memorial Park in Anchorage. Arrangements were by Deseret Mortuary in Salt Lake City.
