Mrs. Bessie Chamberlain, 61, lifelong resident of Cedar Grove, died this morning in a Charleston hospital after a long illness.

She was a member of the Cedar Grove Church of God. Surviving are her husband, Nelson Chamberlain, a retired coal miner who worked for 33 years with the Cedar Grove Colliery Co.; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Keeney, and two brothers Clark and Alfred Proctor, all of Cedar Grove; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Hutton and Mrs. Minnie Carter, both of Cedar Grove and Mrs. Posy Clay of Charleston; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call at the George Cook mortuary chapel in Cedar Grove this evening.
